Crafting Miniature Tiles of Barcelona:
A Fusion of Technology and Creativity
At Onada 3D Works, we believe in the power of innovation and craftsmanship. Recently, we embarked on an exciting project to create miniature tiles inspired by the vibrant architecture of Barcelona. To bring this vision to life, we employed a combination of advanced techniques, including scanning, computer-aided design (CAD), and 3D printing.
From Concept to Creation
The journey began with scanning original tile designs from the city, capturing their intricate details. Using sophisticated CAD software, we then transformed these scans into digital models, ready for 3D printing. This process allowed us to ensure that every nuance of the original tiles was faithfully reproduced in our miniatures.
Material Selection
To produce our molds and final pieces, we utilized high-quality materials that enhance both durability and aesthetic appeal. We chose PETG filament for its strength and versatility in 3D printing, ensuring our models would withstand the test of time. For the molds, we opted for silicone, known for its flexibility and excellent release properties, allowing us to achieve precise shapes without damaging the final product.
To finish our miniatures, we incorporated microcement, a material that beautifully mimics the texture and appearance of traditional tiles while providing a contemporary touch.
Final Product
The result? Stunning miniature tiles that encapsulate the spirit of Barcelona. Each piece is a testament to the fusion of modern technology and artisanal craftsmanship, showcasing our commitment to quality and innovation.
At Onada 3D Works, we are dedicated to exploring the endless possibilities of 3D technology and material science. Stay tuned for more projects that push the boundaries of design and manufacturing!
